Pakistan fashion week 3 organised by Riwayat at the Grand Connaught Rooms show casing the best of Pakistan designers including Gul Ahmed, Waseem Noor, Mona Imran, Rizwan Ahmed and Sadia Mirza to name a few out of the 38 designers. The two day glamorous event took place from November 17-18 where the international fashion community saw what Pakistan had to offer, having its 3rd major fashion show, this time in London. The official website says it will be the “best presentation of Pakistan fashion ever.”
Riwayat director Adnan Ansari has been central in Pakistan’s fashion and media industry for the past two decades. Now based in London, England he is launching a series of events that will raise the profile of Pakistani culture and fashion as never before. Riwayat will showcase only the very best of Pakistani design to a European market.
As well as having talented and famous designers exhibiting their collections on the largest ramp ever, the models to walk that ramp were also some of the leading in the industry, star models, needing no introduction is Nadya Malik, one of Pakistan’s top models and Kelly Knox, one of Britain’s truly inspirational models. With over 50 magazine covers to her credit, Nadya is a favourite of designers and directors alike.
Commenting on his collection that was showcased at the event, Nomi Ansari, said: “The main purpose to showcase our collection at PFW3 was to reach out with a new style aesthetic on a national basis.”
The show run by Riwayat will be raising funds through a charity raffle to be donoates to the malala trust. The malala Trust as set up by the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in the city of Birmingham famously known to treating 14 year old Malala Yousafzia.
