34-year-old Miss Dee mother of two enters the music industry through a spiritual route, she discovered her musical sound as a child however never took it any further until she starting singing religious music in her Gurdwara called Baba Vadbhag Sing Ji in Coventry, this is where Baba ji of the temple encouraged her to follow her musical side, and is now sponsoring the launch of her musical career, where she will be debuting on stage in India at the BVS mela with non-other than the Punjabi singing legend Gurdas Mann.

Miss Dee has two famous sisters before her one formally worked for the BBC Sonia Deol and one who is a model so it was only right she also followed her entertainment side and embraced her singing passion.

Asian World went and spoke to Miss Dee in her spiritual home the place she said helped her immensely and the place that has made her singing dream a reality the BVS (Gurdwara). She told us “I have sung a variation of music. I’ve always been diverse in the kind of music I listen to and sung, however, on this occasion it’s been religious. I have basically found my platform from this group in the Gurdwara they have made me – and now I am about to step onto this stage in India. The world is your oyster and anything is possible, so I’m leaving it in the hands of destiny.”

Miss Dee told us how important this mela was as it is there for every religion and culture and is there to help underprivileged people not just by providing food but essential health care which may save their life. The mela her Gurdwara are holding and funding will host health care camps, which will include Roko Cancer, Blood Donation and Eye camp, she told us they are expecting thousands of people to attend.

“I want to be able to share back with the world something that has been given to me. At the end of the day, I see it as my platform at my. God is the creator of destiny, he opened the door for me, so yes, I want to give back something that he has given to me. If I can continue to do and be a success, and enjoy giving people what they enjoy listening to, then I couldn’t ask for more.”

The future is in God’s hands for this bright singing star and her next choice will be who she would like to collaborate with she told us “I think the question is, who wouldn’t I like to collaborate with? There’s no one in particular, so I guess that leaves an empty space for all those who I would like to collaborate with. I could be doing the next James Bond theme, you don’t know.”
