Bollywood brings glamour and exotica to Blackpool in the form of wax works.

Wax work figures of stars such as Amitabh Buchchan, Shah Rukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan were unveiled at Madame Tussauds Blackpool late last month.

Brand new additions to the collection include Aishwarya Rai Buchchan.

To add more spark to the show, Madame Tussauds provided some Bollywood inspired entertainment such as the Panache dance group from Preston.

The touring Bollywood exhibition is a first for the iconic museum, which was established to give fans worldwide the opportunity to meet and pose next to their favourite celebrities.

The Asian figures will travel from Blackpool to other Madame Tussauds branches around the world, including London, Hong Kong, Bangkok and many sites in Europe and the US.

Matthew Titherington, General Manager at Madame Tussauds Blackpool, said: “Bollypool day today is set to be one to remember and we are very excited to welcome the Bollywood superstars. I think fans will be blown away by the beautiful Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and we hope they will return again when Kareena Kapoor is unveiled on later in October”.

The wax work of Aishwarya is stunning and actually looks like her, which is very rare, considering that most Madam Tausaads figures look nothing like the celebrity they are pretending to be!
