Each year BBC WMs presenters Sunny & Shay have broadcast live from the community to celebrate Vaisakhi across the West Midlands!
Vaisakhi is one of the most important events in the Sikh calendar, celebrated on 13 April (occasionally 14 April) each year by more than 20 million Sikhs worldwide. It was on this day in 1699 that the Khalsa order was established by Guru Gobind Singh. The annual celebration’s, led by a Sikh community group, takes place around the UK later in the month.
