Chelsea match premier league win record

By Ryan Paul

After claiming the premier league crown on 12th May, Chelsea has now matched their own premier league record when they beat Watford 4-3 in their last home game of the campaign. The victory took them to 29 wins for the season with one game still left to play as the 2016-17 season draws to a close.

A win on the final day of the season will see them set a new record of 30 premier league wins, not even Arsenal’s invincible’s managed to reach that mark when they went a whole season unbeaten back in the 03-04 seasons.

It has been a truly dominant season for the blues and Antonio Conte has a job on his hands next season to retain the premier league crown, not only that but next season Chelsea will be in the champions league, something they missed out on this year due to a poor previous season.

It will be interesting to see how Chelsea do in Europe as well as the league next year as Conte will have to show 10 times more genius next campaign than he did this one.
