The Former boxing world champion Amir Khan is hitting back at his demons and personal struggles after what has been a stressful period in the boxer’s life. Khan is only just getting over his family feud involving his parents and wife Faryal, now an old sex tape has been released, allegedly this was before his marriage to Faryal.
Khan and his parents momentarily lost contact before the feud between them and his wife was patched up. However the former champ’s father Shah Khan is no longer going to manage him as the 30 year old attempt’s to take full responsibility and become a more independent fighter. Khan has also relieved best friend Saj Mohammed of his assistant role and his Uncle Taz Khan as his consultant. After making these decisions Khan had this to say; ‘I have had to grow up and take control of my own life.’
Despite all the downs in his life and removing his family from the business side of things, it’s looking up for the khan family with Amir again speaking to his parents and the air has been cleared with them and wife Faryal. ‘I am talking to my parents again and I expect to be fighting again in May or April. I have invited my parents to the fight and they will be there.’ Khan said explaining the progress he and his family are making.
It’s not just his personal life that has been causing the boxer stress but the constant his and miss fight with rival Kell Brook. Brook and Khan have traded insults on social media for months and even more so recently with the talk of the super fight breaking down. The talks broke down due to an ‘unfair’ split in the purse with Khan demanding 70-30 of the earnings. This differed to Brook’s proposed 50-50 offer and after not coming to any agreement, promoter Eddie Hearn announced the fight won’t happen just yet. Also having so long out of the ring has had an effect on Khan, but as said he is looking to fight in April or May of 2017 if he can find a reputable opponent. He went onto say; ‘I am only 30 but I’ve been around for so long that people think my best days are behind me. Not me, I feel like I’m stepping into my prime and this will be my time to shine.’
Amir Khan is a former 2 division world champion and has promised his fans he will win a world title again, despite a devastating loss to Canelo in May last year. Even though he dominated the first two rounds the Mexican power house landed a sweet right hook which Ko’d Khan.
Things are looking up for Khan with a possible fight being announced, the unveiling of his MMA academy and his charity foundation this year is looking to be a better one for King Khan, and even better if he can still land that super fight with Kell Brooke later than expected.
