Malala Yousafzais father Ziauddin Yousafzai has been appointed for the role of education attach at the Pakistan consulate in Birmingham by Pakistani Government. Malala was shot in the head by the Taliban for speaking up for the rights of women in Pakistan. The fifteen years old girl after being shot in the head was flown to U.K for treatment where she is still recovering. The appointment, which is initially for three years, with a further potential extension of two years, effectively means the family can stay in the UK for the foreseeable future.
