National Hajj issue warning against Pilgrim travelling without appropriate vaccination
A National Hajj organisation has praised the awareness made of pilgrims travelling to Pakistan without appropriate vaccination.
The Association of British Hujjaj UK commends the statement issued by the religious scholars from Pakistan that travelling to Hajj without getting vaccination to protect individuals from infectious diseases including Meningitis is a severe violation of Shariah (Islamic Laws)
The seminar in Pakistan was held by Mir Khalil-ur-Rahman Memorial Society in Lahore.
The religious scholars also warned those who are carriers of any infectious diseases that the intentional transmission of infectious diseases to other human beings is also a severe violation of Shariah and those who submit fake vaccination certificates to obtain visa are destroying the spirit of Hajj.
The senior doctors from Association of British Hujjaj (Pilgrims) UK have warned that Pilgrims are at a higher risk of contracting infectious diseases due to crowded conditions at ceremonies, accommodation sites and on public transport. In such situations, infections are bound to spread easily. Germs spread through sneezing and coughing or by direct contact as in sharing utensils.
Senior doctors also strongly stressed the Pilgrims to take preventative measures against life threatening infectious diseases like Meningitis and Hepatitis.
Meningitis is a well known notorious killer disease. It is highly infectious and rapidly spreads from one person to another. It is literally incurable and the mortality rate is very high and those few who do manage to survive through most intensive hospital treatment often end up with damage to the brain, kidneys, lungs and the limbs etc.
