Shameless Callous Fanita Vasile managed to slyly trick her way into an old woman’s home disguised as a charity worker. From there, she stole £220 from the woman’s purse before fleeing the pensioner’s home in Sheldon, Birmingham.
Vasile told the woman she was a charity worker, who was raising money for a disabled charity, she also told the victim that she was cold and that is when the woman invited Vasile into her home. Furthermore, Vasile made out she was deaf, so that the victim would show more sympathy.
The victim continued to help and offered Vasile a drink and when she returned with a beverage, Vasile said that she had to leave and hurriedly left the premises. However, when the woman later checked her purse, she realised that £220 had gone missing and she grew very concerned.
Vasile had attempted numerous burglaries in the past and Birmingham crown court sentenced her two years and eight months imprisonment.
