An inaugural ceremony was held on Aug 24, 2014 in the honour of Pakistan Achievement Awards UK & Europe 2014 at High Wycombe by a well-known Asian Radio Station Awaaz FM 107.4. The ceremony was attended by a great number of people from different areas but dominantly by Pakistani & Kashmiri community. The ceremony was broadcasted live on the radio station for a continuous period of two hours.
The Chairman of Awaaz Radio Mr. Azhar Hussain congratulated the PAA team for holding the 6th consecutive Pakistan Achievement Awards. He paid tribute to the organising committee of PAA for their commitment and devotion to acknowledge the services of the Pakistanis. He vehemently expressed his desire to continue supporting the cause of PAA in future as he has done in the previous years. He said that he will not only support but is also willing to play a role in the success of such programs. He presented shields to the Advisory Board of the PAA team for their hard work and significant contributions to the community. The entire team of PAA thanked Mr. Azhar Hussian and the management team of Awaaz Radio for such a warm welcome.
PAA team also reiterated their resolve to continue their efforts and present an even better show this year. The PAA team repeated their aim to acknowledge and pay tribute to the services of all those who have made their mark in their professional lives along with holding up the anthem of Pakistan.
The Chairman A-Haq in his address thanked Mr. Azhar Hussain and the entire team of Awaaz Radio for their consistent support which is an emblem of a true Pakistan-lover. He also sought proposals of the community living at High Wycombe to improve their program. He had asked the people for positive criticism to introduce needful reforms in their programs. Mr. A-Haq expressed his desire to bring forward such hidden stars like those of previous years which may be a source of inspiration to the entire Pakistani and Kashmiri community. Mr. A Haq and Mr. Azhar Hussain joined hands with the respective teams in a cake cutting ceremony and declared Awaaz Radio to be the official partner of Pakistan Achievement Awards 2014.
