Ijaz Chaudhry, an internationally acclaimed British Pakistani sports journalist, has been nominated for the award of ‘Media Person of the Year ’ by the ‘Pakistan Achievement Awards UK & Europe 2013’.
A freelance sports journalist, who works for print as well as the electronic media, he spends time in both Great Britain and Pakistan.
Ijaz Chaudhry has written and reported on a number of sporting disciplines ranging from soccer to polo for newspapers, magazines, websites and TV/Radio channels.
These include some of the most prestigious websites and magazines in sports including www.cricinfo.com (world’s largest cricket website), www.worldhockey.org (the official website of International Hockey Federation), Squash Player (the official magazine of World Squash Federation), Swimming Times (the official magazine of Amateur Swimming Association and the Institute of Swimming, Britain), Polo Times (world’s leading polo magazine), The Ring (American boxing magazine also called ‘The Bible of Boxing’), among others.
