1. When did you start?
I started three years back professionally when I got taken under the great wings of Mumzy stranger he took me on. I started off in an academy first which was run our ex management. I was introduced by Mumzy. My journey started from there with my music. I was 21 or 22 years of age when he took me on. I am 23 years of age now so not long ago.
2. How did you get in touch with Mumzy Stranger?
The management team of Mumzy at that time were running an academy, they saw me I was student at that academy at that time and I sung my heart out played a few keys on the keyboard. They took interest in me they introduced me to Mumzy and called me for a few studio sessions and the rest is history.
3. What are you working on now?
I am currently working on my new single Tanha which means loneliness. Past few years as people already know I wasn’t in the music industry it was like I disappeared from the face of this earth especially when it came to music and I went through quiet a lonely time. Most of music come from me my personal experience. Loneliness I went through harsh times, I am back after two years. I had to find myself again, I had to find my sound I have matured so much in the past two years, vocally I am much more stronger, my writing is better, production, composing, my team my camp are amazing now. “I am back.”
Can a fan be your girlfriend?
I don’t know, you never know
4. How would describe yourself?
I describe myself as humble, passionate, very driven, that’s me as a person.
5. Name one person who you would love to work with?
One person I would love to work with, I love acting, a massive Shahrukh khan fan, I look up to. And singing the list is endless. Bollywood actor character personality I would most match to is Emran Khan, because I am big softie, Bollywood buff. One Item girl in a Bollywood film industry that I would love to work alongside would be Katrina kaif.
6. How much would you like to earn or your financial target?
I would love to earn enough to support myself and family, I would love to earn a million plus.
7. Do you have a girlfriend, partner?
Right now, I have a girlfriend which is my keyboard, music, studio, I co-composed, I write for a lot of local young artists, I do a lot of youth work.
8. If your music is not successful what would be your next career move?
I started with a great career with police force so that is a backup for me if my music career doesn’t go well. The door is always open, I would feel i gave my music career a good run, I can go back.
9. What is next five year career plan?
Five year plan tours the world produce as much music as possible. Give the love and respect the people who love my music and keep looking after my family. My family support 100%. Working on new albums and singles remixes, available on you tube channels. There is a lot more music coming. We are doing covers sessions me and Mumzy are working on some covers. My favourite cover lady at the minute is lady gaga and r Kelly song. The best language I sing is in English.
10. What advice can you give to British Asians artists how to overcome your parents and stigma?
Parents want to see result whether that GSCES. Degrees, whatever you are doing I your life they want to see results. My advice is work hard as you can and give your mom and dad something to be proud of, they want to see you do something better as long as it positive, it should be fine.
11. Tell us something that nobody else knows about you?
My hair is curly and not straight, I use hair straighteners. My hair is naturally white not black I have to dye my hair black. I went to Britain’s got talent; I got through first round but had to leave due to family reasons.
12. What is your dream?
My dream is to be the best I can be, spread positive message through my music.
