Like a horrific car crash, we cannot help but gawp at a slanging match between celebs, even though we know it’s wrong to; so it’s always a pleasant read when the famous praise each other and our Arjun Rampal is a lovely example of this.
The 39-year-old hunk had nothing but compliments for Bollywood icon Amitabh Buchchan, who he worked with in the films Aaakhen and The Last Lear, comparing him to a ‘true solider.’
He told the Hindustan newspaper, “For me, the true soldier really is a person like Mr Amitabh Buchchan, who has nothing but love for what he does, nothing but complete endurance…he has endured everything, the ups, the downs and everything…and still keeps coming out and recreating himself.
The former model also praised Amitabh for reinventing himself through his four-decade-long career.
“He is one of those actors who never created a shelf life for himself. An actor who reinvents himself all the time and is still there and still doing some wonderful work even at his age.”
But the praise does not stop there, as Arjun also expressed his admiration for the 65 year old’s discipline and organization skills, which he feels that every actor should take note of.
“He is a man who wakes up at 6am and this is a discipline. This is something we should all learn.
At around 8 to 8:30, he has a stack of newspapers which go all around the world and he reads every single newspaper. At 9:30, he is on set, he switches his mobile phone off and he is the character you want him to be.”
