Raaj Shmaji is a hard-working and involved member of Birmingham’s vibrant community. A graduate from Birmingham City University, Raaj lives in Walsall and works as a School Governor. He has also been involved in numerous inter-faith projects. Raaj now contributes to his old university as a senior development manager.
Having actively campaigned ‘Vote Leave’ in student politics as a volunteer, Raaj wants to continue to do his best to represent the local Birmingham community. If elected, he wants to work towards helping ensure the 2020 Common Wealth Games in Perry Barr are a success and leave a long-standing legacy. He aims to ensure that the window of tourism the Games create build strong business and partnership links between the region and elsewhere.
Raaj promises to work alongside the Prime Minister to develop better schools, healthcare, safer streets and a stronger economy in the UK. He plans to tackle issues such as transport, skills and housing shortages within Perry Barr as well.
