In the aftermath of the tragic event that occurred on Monday evening at Manchester Arena, Penny Appeal have set up a Just Giving page and are encouraging everyone to support the people of Manchester at this time.

Twenty-two people have tragically lost their lives, countless others are severely injured, many of them children; all of our thoughts and prayers are with those affected and Penny Appeal staff are shocked by this horrific attack. With some urgency, Penny Appeal is encouraging everyone to rally together to support both the victims and their families.

Although we can’t take away the pain this act has caused, we can make a small difference and help them through this difficult time.

A statement issued by Penny Appeal CEO Aamer Naeem said: “Our thoughts and prayers go out to all those affected by the attacks in Manchester last night. Manchester is a great city with lovely people and a proud history.

“This act was horrific, criminal and defies belief. We encourage everyone to rally together in support of the victims and their families in the true spirit of what it means to be human. As a Manchester lad, born in the city, my heart is broken today but I know the city and its people will spring back stronger and more united despite this.”

Penny Appeal have set up a Just Giving page and encouraging everyone to support the people of Manchester at this time. https://www.justgiving.com/campaigns/charity/pennyappeal/manchesterwestandtogether. Alternatively, you can call our 24/7 donation hotline on 03000 11 11 11.
