Budding footballers won’t need to look any further to jump start their career, for a local football team are looking to recruit new team mates.
Shadows FC, a football club based inDerbyandBirmingham, are looking for new recruits to play alongside them at a local tournament.
The KFF National 11-a-side tournament takes place during the summer holiday and the club have worked their way up to the second division.
This year, Shadows are hoping to get promoted to the top flight first division, where the best of Asian players fromLondontoScotlandwill be participating.
Shadows manager, Saj Mahmood believes that the recruitment will be an attractive opportunity for aspiring players to be talent spotted.
He said, “These tournaments provide a professional platform for budding Asian football stars to showcase their talents and hopefully get noticed by the bigger clubs.
“This is the best standard of football most Asian players will be lucky enough to take part in, with professional referees and linesmen, plus great pitches.”
Shadows are part of a voluntary organisation aimed to promote Asian footballers.
Saj added, “Our organisation tries to help enthusiastic footballers break into the professional leagues, as well as to help keep young children off the streets and involved with sport.
Those interested in joining Shadows have until March to register their full details and sports experience.
“The deadline for the registration is the end of March, so get in touch with as soon as possible with your full details.
“We also need to know the level of experience you have, as well as the teams you have played for, your age and where you are based.
In addition, we need to know where you play so we can assess your standard of skills.”
Shadows will also be organising local five-a-side football tournaments withinBirminghamat affordable prices for all local players of all standards.
