Five people, including a mother and her two sons, are thought to be dead following an explosion at a Leicester shop.
The explosion occurred at a Polish shop on Hinkley Road and was first heard at 7 pm on Sunday 25th February. Five people were rushed to hospital, one of whom still remains in hospital.
Mary Ragoobar, 46, and sons Shane, 18, and Sean, 17, lived in the flat above the shop in Hinckley Road which was destroyed in the blast.
Police said they are missing along with Shane’s girlfriend Leah Beth Reek, 18, and Viktorija Ljevleva, 22, who was working in the shop at the time.
Leicestershire Police say the badly burned remains of five people found in the rubble of the shop and two-storey flat, are yet to be formally identified.
The origin of the explosion is still a mystery as of yet and the area is set to be closed until the following week.
