Classic 1946 MG TC to be offered at BCA Bridgwater

A classic MG TC nicknamed ‘Mickey Mouse’ and dating from just after the Second World War will be offered for sale at BCA Bridgwater this Wednesday, 12th November.

The 1946 MG TC 1344cc Convertible, formerly the property of the late Captain John Huddlestone of the Merchant Navy, has been in the same family ownership since 1962 having been purchased by his father Eric Huddlestone. Nicknamed ‘Mickey Mouse’ by its last owner, it is being offered for sale on behalf of the Treasury Solicitors.

Finished in black with green trim and green leather interior, it retains many original fittings and is offered in a nicely aged condition requiring only minor refurbishment. The car has previously undergone substantial refurbishments with a variety of receipts supplied for work carried out in 1982 and 1986 totalling around £11,500. Photographs detailing the restoration are also supplied.

The original log book is present and other paperwork includes bank statements showing the 1962 purchase cost of £265. The car is well known to the MG Owners club as Captain Huddlestone and his parents were members over the years and the car appears on the MG TC Register.

The car will be offered for sale at around 12.30 pm on Wednesday 12 November at BCA Bridgwater, Bristol Road, TA6 4TN. Log on to the BCA website (bca.co.uk) for more details.
