Claire Williams, deputy team principal of Williams Martini Racing, is confirmed to attend Autosport International on Sunday 15th January.
She will be taking to the Autosport Stage on the final day of the event to discuss the 2016 season, what’s next for Williams and the future of F1.
The appearance comes as Williams celebrates its 40th anniversary with an interactive feature, which is set to be a key attraction at the show in Birmingham next month.
Fans will be able to immerse themselves in four decades years of Williams heritage – from when the team was established by Sir Frank Williams and Patrick Head in 1977 right up to Williams Martini Racing of 2017 – as part of a centerpiece that will also see a complete overhaul of the Autosport Stage.
As it did earlier this year, all aspects of the Grove-based racing team will be celebrated at Autosport International 2017, from star cars to drivers and key team members, with more attendees to be announced over the coming weeks.
In addition to this, Williams will be bringing a fascinating collection of its famous heritage cars including the FW07 which gave Williams its first victory, Nigel Mansell’s 1992 Drivers’ Championship-winning FW14B, Damon Hill’s 1996 Drivers’ Championship-winning FW18 and the Monaco GP-winning FW25.
The event will also give visitors an insight into the world of Williams Advanced Engineering, the division that transfers technology from Formula One to market sectors as diverse as defence and renewable energy.
Williams Advanced Engineering has completed many high profile projects recently, including supplying all batteries to the inaugural FIA Formula E Championship. In addition, visitors will be able to learn about Williams Heritage, the team’s historic racing division, which restores and fully supports Williams racing cars for private owners.
