A deaf entrepreneur is to help potential business people, particularly those who are profoundly deaf, hard of hearing and hearing see their ideas come to life.
Shezad Nawab set up the Deaf Business Services Ltd in Northfield since April 2010, aimed to provide services to both deaf and hearing tycoons seeking to start a new business and see it flourish.
Professional Services includes business advisor, commission, experienced entrepreneur, financial market, management consultancy, innovative ideas, real estate and retail.
Mr Nawab’s business will provide opportunities to small and large businesses all over the UK and internationally, as well as helping clients develop their ideas further.
He said, “We offer business advice, help clients develop innovative ideas, as well as providing them with office premises should they need them.”
Apart from setting up a business advice service, Mr Nawab also hopes to finalise a device for deaf people, which is still in development.
“The Video relay translating services is a product that will enable a deaf person to gain access to an interpreter via a weblink or a webcam” he explained
“As you know, communicating with people at banks and hospitals can be very difficult, so we hope that this device will help deaf people communicate with others effectively without an interpreter being there with them.”
Mr Nawab was awarded for the Business Imitative Award 2011, Young Entrepreneur Award 2011 and Innovation Voucher Winner, 2010.
The young entrepreneur graduated from Birmingham City University in 2009, with a BA Honours in Business & Marketing.
“When I completed my degree, I gained a lot more confidence and despite my communication barrier, I knew that I could achieve anything if I put my mind to it,” he said.
