Leadec, a uniquely positioned provider of outsourced services to the UK automotive sector, will be promoting its extensive range of services to vehicle manufacturers and first tier suppliers on stand 19D70 at Automechanika Birmingham 2017 next week.

Formerly known as Voith Industrial Services, Leadec is exhibiting two wheel and tyre assemblies, left and right hand struts, and an axle assembly. The company is also promoting other key production, facility and supply chain services.

“We have achieved significant growth in the UK automotive sector in the past five years increasing our turnover from about £30 million a year to over £100 million,” said Adam Hart, Leadec’s business development director.

“Our on-site services – where we work totally on our customers’ sites – include facilities management, managed processes, and technical cleaning of paint and body shops.

“In fact we are the world leader in this field carrying out technical cleaning in over 80 car plants.”

He added: “Assembly services involve our own dedicated facilities such as our brand new state-of-the-art wheel and tyre assembly operation in Coventry.

“This £5 million plant, the only one in the UK that can handle wheel sizes of between 16 and 24 inches, supplies luxury, premium and volume automotive manufacturers, and can produce 2.5 million assemblies a year on three shifts.”

In addition Leadec is also promoting the projects it carries out for expanding companies that need civil and engineering work, as well as the relocation of plant and equipment.

Employing 2,500 people mainly at customer sites, Leadec’s clients include major automotive manufacturers such as Jaguar Land Rover, General Motors, Ford and Bentley. Among clients in the supply chain are BP Castrol, Plastic Omnium, and Magna Group companies.

Adam added: “Automechanika is also an opportunity to create a wider awareness of our new brand, Leadec, which has a global workforce of 16,600 specialists based at customers’ production sites in more than 200 locations.”
