A 20-year-old woman has been found guilty luring her television executive boyfriend to his death after he attempted to rape her.

The murder victim was killed by 20-year-old Mundill Mahil’s two male accomplices, who were both found guilty of murder.

Harinder Shoker, who was also known as Ravi, 22, from Charlton, was sentenced by a majority verdict at the Old Bailey Court.

20-year-old Darren Peters, from Blackheath, was sentenced for manslaughter, while Miss Mahil, from Chatham was left in tears after she was cleared of murder, but found guilty of great bodily harm with intent.

21-year-old Gagandip Singh, from Bexleyheath, was killed on 26 February last year.

Police found his body in the boot of a blue Mercedes C-class in Angerstien Lane, Blackheath at 2am.

The court heard how the murder victim angered his lover after he tried to sexually attack her in August 2010.

The medical student allegedly lured her former boyfriend to her student house in Brighton, where her male friends waited to beat him.

Mr Peters and Mr Shoker put the unconscious victim in the boot of the car and drove him to Blackheath, where they set the car alight.

Despite suffering head injuries, a post mortem showed that Mr Singh died from inhaling the smoke from the fire.

Detective superintendent Damian Allain described Miss Mahil as “calculating” because she was at the “heart of a criminal conspiracy” by tricking Mr Singh into coming to Brighton, where he was assaulted and murdered.
