Tickets now on sale for Charity Christmas Extravaganza headlining Noddy Holder and featuring Azaad Dhol Group.

Noddy holder will be hosting at the town hall on Thursday 1st December 2011 to help raise money forBirmingham and Black Country Community Foundation (BBCCF) at their annual Christmas Concert.

Starting at 8pm and finishing at 10pm this year’s concert will be hosted by Noddy Holder, performed by Birmingham Philharmonic Concert Band and accompanied by a combination of three choirs: St Peter’s Collegiate Church Choir (Wolverhampton), St Mary’s Church Choir (Warwickshire), Members of the Birmingham City Choir and a fusion of culture by local musicians the Azaad Dhol Group.

This signature event for the Midlands will be raising money to provide a bedrock of funding to enable further investment into grassroots community and voluntary groups in theBirminghamandBlack Country. We are working to provide brighter futures by inspiring local giving for local needs and strengthening local communities now and forever.

David Bucknall, Chair,Birminghamand Black Country Community Foundation said:

“As we deal with the after shock of the summer riots we believe that BBCCF has a strong offer. We work with the whole community to help local people find local solutions to local needs. It is by working together that we can gain impetus to makeBirminghamandBlack Countrya better place to work, live and invest.

The Christmas Extravaganza is our annual event and celebration for what we have achieved and looking ahead to the work we need to do. So come and join us; we look forward to seeing you at the Town Hall!”

Harjit Singh, Music Tutor, Azaad Dhol Group said: “We are pleased to be supporting BBCCF at this year’s concert; they are doing a wonderful job and making a real difference in getting funds to communities that need it the most. The Azaad Dhol Group is an example of the types of groups the foundation is helping, which is making a great impact on the lives of young people combining education and performance in order to keep traditional Punjabi Folk Music alive and kicking. We are grateful for BBCCF’s continued support.”
