Socratic is the number one app of the year, named by Google. It is a tutoring app, available for free on both Google Play and the Apple App Store which is designed to help you complete your homework. It knows what’s included in a wide range of subjects, including Math’s, History, Economics, English, Chemistry and Biology, and uses
AI to help you understand and work through problems.
The only thing you as a user need to do is take a picture of your homework and upload it onto Socratic. Automatically the app will recognise the problem and will provide you with a step by step response on how to solve it. Google says Socratic “blew us away this year — cleverly conceived, beautifully designed, and wonderfully useful.”
It further added, “Socratic captivated us with its best-in-class artificial intelligence: ask a
question, and it’ll curate the info you need — like step-by-step math’s solutions — to answer it. We can’t wait to see our App of the Year get even smarter.”
The company has also compiled a list of the top five most popular new apps of the year.
