Rangreza’s latest Qawwali song Janasheen is a tribute to the legendary Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. Leading stars Bilal Ashraf, Gohar Rasheed and Urwa Hocane are readying themselves for their latest venture, Rangreza, that is all set to hit the cinemas.
A slight rendition of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan’s Allah Hu, the song titled Janasheen, is composed and sung by JoSH’s lead vocalist, Qurram Hussain. After the soaring success of Hussain’s latest single Bagiya for Rangreza, the singer and composer has seemingly added yet another feather to his cap.
Previously talking to a media outlet, the Mahi Ve singer said, “Janasheen is about being so madly in love with your partner that they become the world for you. I decided to make it into a qawwali because such heartfelt emotions can be conveyed best through this genre.” Hussain went on to explain, “It is a labour of love and has been years in the making. I am so happy it’s found a home in Rangreza.”
According to Hussain, Rangreza director Aamir Mohiuddun was instantly sold after listening to Janasheen. “He immediately took a liking to it and thought it was a perfect choice for Rangreza. That’s how things work out sometimes. Every inspiration
is meant to connect with the right project,” shared Hussain. Rangreza is presented by Vision Art Films, Usman Malkani Films, Distribution Club (Pvt) Ltd, Munir Hussain Films UK and Pepe’s Piri Piri and will be distributed worldwide except Pakistan by
B4U Motion Pictures.
