Israels Strikes On Lebanon Causing Severe Carnage

Over the past 24 hours, Israel has launched a series of airstrikes across Lebanon, resulting in hundreds of deaths, numerous injuries, and mass displacement. Lebanese officials report that at least 558 people have been killed, including 50 children and 94 women, while approximately 2,000 others have been wounded. Thousands of civilians are desperately trying to find safe shelter as more than 10,000 have been forced to flee their homes. The Israeli military has described this assault as a “new phase” of its war on Gaza, claiming that over 1,000 targets—allegedly Hezbollah strongholds or military sites hidden in civilian homes—were struck. The bombardment, which began at 6:30 a.m. on Monday with strikes near Byblos, north of Beirut, is the most intense Lebanon has seen since its civil war between 1975 and 1990, with over 1,300 strikes on Hezbollah-linked sites reported so far.
