YouTube is a popular platform for individuals from all age groups. YouTube has about 1 billion active users each month. Needless to say, it is one of the most used websites today. However, there are some features of YouTube that you were probably unaware
of. Here are some: Make GIFs: If you are watching a video and find a part that is relatable and you want to turn it into a GIF, YouTube lets you do that.
The process is quite simple. In the browser tab add GIF before YouTube so that it reads
“gifyoutube.com”. This will take you to another page where you can select up to 15 seconds of the video to create your GIF. You can also add stickers and text of your own choice.
Manage the speed of the video: If you are watching a tutorial about something and you want to take it step by step- YouTube allows you to reduce the speed of the video by percentage. All you need to do is go to the settings tab, select speed and choose the rate at which you want the video to play.
Karaoke: Singing to your favourite songs can be a lot of fun- especially if it is karaoke with your friends. All you need to do is type in Karaoke with the name of the song
on YouTube – videos with lyrics to the song will appear so that you can
sing along.
Download YouTube videos: If you like a video, in particular, YouTube lets you download it. A simple trick is involved- type in ss after www. and you will be redirected to a different page where you will be able to download the video of your choice.
Customize the ads: No you cannot get rid of the advertisements on YouTube. But what you can do is customise it. This is something similar to what Google lets you do.
All you have to do is go to Ad preferences on Google and select the ads that you do
not wish to see.
