Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad sparked outrage when he claimed that the World Trade Centre towers could not have crashed down by a single blast of an oncoming aircraft.
The former engineer was interviewed during his speech to the UN General Assembly, which caused many to walk out.
He told the AP news agency that some sort of planned explosion must have taken place.
Diplomats from more than 30 countries including theUSand EU nations walked out of the hall when he made his remarks.
Many felt that he accused theUSkilling of Osama Bin Laden of being a 9/11 cover up.
Mr Ahmadinejad’s comments reflect many of the conspiracies surrounding the 9/11.
Conspiracy theorists argued that theTwinTowerswere destroyed by controlled demolitions.
However, an extensive inquiry by the National Insitute of Standards and Technology explained that the planes severed and damaged support columns.
