First Aid Training For Media Personnel by Pakistan Red Crescent Society, Dera Ismail Khan Branch ( KPK) Two days Red Cross & Red Crescent Movement Dissemination and Basic First Aid Training Workshop for Media Personnel in Pakistan Red Crescent Society Office, Dera Ismail Khan.
The workshop was inaugurated by PRCS – D.I.Khan District Secretary Sahibzada Ameer Ahmad.
The participants were nominated by managements of Journalist Foundation (JF), Khyber Media Forum Dera Ismail Khan (KMF), Dera Union of Journalists (DUOJ) and Around 17 media practitioners from famous TV channels including Channel 24, Such TV, Roze TV, and Local Newspapers including Daily Sada e Haq, Daily Meezan e Adel, Online News Websites (News Asia Network and Dunya Ke Awaz).
On the first day of workshop, PRCS – D.I.Khan Senior Volunteer Rizwan Awan, gave a brief introduction of Red Cross Red Crescent Movement, Seven Fundamental Principles, Components of Movement and core activities of Pakistan Red Crescent Society. PRCS – D.I.Khan
First Aider, Rizwanullah Khan provided Basic First Aid Training to participants. He emphasized on basic life support, bandages, bone fractures, giving first aid in case of a heart attack, snack biting, helping burn victims, shifting injured to hospital and other first aid methods. All methods were practiced by participants. Theoretical and Practical exams were also conducted from participants.
