Akshay Kumar and Taapsee Pannu along with the Naam Shabana team have kick started the promotions of the film in New Delhi earlier in the week.
Akshay and Taapsee were spotted at a hospital in the Capital city promoting the film along with producer Neeraj Pandey, director Shivam Nair and South superstar Prithviraj Sukumaran who also plays a key role in the film. Akshay is playing a cameo in the film. Last seen in the film Running Shaadi, Taapsee has undergone rigorous physical training for her role in the film, with all the action stunts done by her without the use of any body double.
The film is based Taapsee’s character Shabana, who is enlisted by an India secret agency, in return of providing her intelligence about her boyfriend’s killers. That is how the story of Shabana begins as according to the trailer. Naam Shabana also stars Manoj Bajpayee, Anupam Kher and Danny Denzongpa in key roles. Produced by Neeraj Pandey and Shital Bhatia under the Friday Filmworks banner, Naam Shabana is directed by Shivam Nair and releases in cinemas worldwide on 31st March 2017.
