Police are appealing for information after a motorcyclist died after his bike collided with a car on 22 August in Sheldon.

The 29-year-old motorcyclist from the local area, was travelling along Bordesley Green when he was in collision with a black BMW 120 at the junction with Imperial Road at 4.30pm.

He was taken to hospital via helicopter with a serious head injury. He died as a result of his injuries a week later on 29 August.

The woman driver of the BMW has been voluntarily interviewed by officers.

PC Jason Stacey, from the Collision Investigation Unit, said: “Specialist family liaison officers continue to liaise with the family and help them during this difficult time.

“At this stage, the family do not wish to release the identity of their loved one.”

Officers remain keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the collision. Anyone with information should call the Regional Collision Investigation Unit on 101.
