Please introduce yourself to the Asian World? For example your age, your background etc

My name is Kamran Younas 29 years old – born in Gujranwala in Pakistan. I would describe myself as a destructive right handed batsman and bowl left arm spin. Teams: Sialkot Stallions and Port Qasim

Kamrans is contracted been by pro elite sports, he almost broke the Bolton League Batting record when on debut this season scoring a mammoth 211 runs  an innings which consisted of  18 sixes and 17 fours. I was eventually out with still 5 over’s remaining and 24 runs short of AdilNisars batting record. Having represented Sialkot Stallions in the champions league in South Africa, it’s just a taste of better things to come. I have also played the u19’s world cup for Pakistan in New Zealand and has been on standby in 2 senior world cup squads.

Why did you choose to follow this particular sport?

It’s a passion which became a dream, growing up watching the games great players – who now are legends

How long has it taken you to really see any glimmer of success?

Probably back in 1996 scoring runs at U16s Domestic cricket and a dream 1st class debut where I scored 64 not out Vs Hyderabad.

Is this the dream for you..Or are you still waiting to accomplish the dream?

A dream, not accomplished as I still have dreams of representing Pakistan.

Was there a profound moment or something that happened in your life that made you turn to this particular sport?

It has to be 1992 World Cup – Watching Imran Khans cornered tigers come back from the dead to win was a great feeling.

How hard is it to become recognised and move up the ranks of success?

Is it for everyone? Very very hard but now it is easier than a decade ago, I guess you need a bit of luck too.

Who do you look up to?

Batting idol has to be Brian Lara – a legend in the game carrying the team alone. A firm favourite, sheer class.

Who would you like to work with?

Have ambitions of playing county cricket in the future as I have applied for my spouse visa – having married from London. Surrey CCC has to top the list – complete county – good team – excellent facilities and a good batting wicket!

What is your daily training regime?

2 Hours in the gym but I prefer to be playing in some shape or form.

Do you have to be very strict on your diet?

Not really, jus carful of what you intake and stay away from junk food!

What advice would you give to those wanting to enter this sport?

Don’t waste your chance, focus and be 100% committed the drive and passion to succeed and mostly enjoy it.

What else do you do and what else would you like to accomplish?

Next few years work hard and hopefully play county cricket and enhance my game.

Where do you see yourself in the future?

At the next step in my cricketing career – at moment scoring truck loads for little lever CC and then my team back home this winter.
