Attachment-1A young snooker duo was whisked half way across the world to Malta to compete in the European under 17’s championship on January 1st.

Hamim aged 13 and Halim aged 12 were given the fantastic opportunity to play for England, in a world-renowned snooker tournament. With permission from his school and support from their local community leaders, the boys will become part of history- if successful.

The adorable pair have been going from strength to strength in competitions around the country. Celebrations have also been very much on the agenda as Hamim was honoured at a local event held by the Bangladesh Multi Purpose Centre. It was at the Birmingham event where he was given a trophy by the Chairman of the organisation. The Lord Mayor, Shabana Mahmood MP were a few of the respected dignitaries and community leaders that attended the prestigious event.

Both brothers played tournaments this season; the first being in Lincolnshire. Hamim did very well to qualify, but unfortunately, lost in semi finals in the under 20’s. Halim, on the other hand, won a few matches and lost few, but in the end, didn’t qualify. After seeing Hamim on BBC news, the Abrahamic Foundation travelled to Warwick to discuss his sponsorship possibilities. Alongside the family, the Foundation invited Hamim to their offices and welcomed him with a photo shoot. In the midst of all these sponsorships, Hamim was ecstatic at having received his England badge. Hamim received a letter from the Lord Mayor of Birmingham, as well as the House of Commons congratulating him on the success of his career and his honorary badge.
