Yuvraj Singh, one of the players of the World Cup TournamentIndia, has been diagnosed with Grade One Cancer.
The tumour, parts of which lay above his heart, has been detected in Stage One.
It was reported that he was first misdiagnosed at an Indian hospital but will now go to theUSfor his treatment where he will take his Chemotheraphy Sessions.
A day after he left for US, Singh tweeted, “Reading lance Armstrong s book it’s not about the bike! I’m sure it will motivate me and pull me throu this time! Livestrong yuvstrong!” (sic).
The Cricketer’s physiotherapist Dr Jatin Chaudary stated that his illness is curable and will hopefully recover by May 2012.
Heartfelt wishes and Prays are being held all overIndia, especially for his speedy recovery.
Chaudhary told the Times of India, “It is a rare tumor and is cancerous but it has been detected in stage one itself. Doctors had to decide whether to continue medication or go for chemotherapy but since parts of the tumor are just above the artery of his heart, there was a danger that while running, it could burst. But it is 100 per cent curable.”
