Nationwide network of 250 independent installers will enhance customer peace of mind

Leading stolen vehicle recovery expert TRACKER – part of the Tantalum Corporation – is making a major commitment to customer peace of mind by enrolling its nationwide network of 250 independent installers on an industry-leading training and quality assurance programme.
Over the course of the next six months, every TRACKER installer will be required to enroll and train under FITAS – the ‘gold standard’ accreditation programme for vehicle engineers.
The commitment comes as a result of a strong partnership between TRACKER and the Federation of Communication Services, who own and administer the FITAS scheme on behalf of the industry. The deal creates a major new quality benchmark in the field of installer training: TRACKER’s own installation training programme has been revised and updated by FCS technical authors. It will now be delivered alongside the FITAS practical skills and vehicle electronics modules, to standards moderated by the Institute of the Motor Industry, the skills council for the automotive sector.

The first tranche of TRACKER engineers will be enrolling during January, and all 250 will have passed through the programme by autumn this year.
