On Wednesday 22 February, Women on the Move Against Cancer (WOMAC) will be hosting its annual fundraising party at Chelsea Old Town Hall in London’s fashionable King’s Road.
Tickets are available now – see www.womac.co.uk for details – and all money raised will go towards WOMAC’s chosen charity for 2017, Jo’s Trust, the only UK charity dedicated to women affected by cervical cancer and cervical abnormalities.
With the importance of regular cervical screening being emphasised in recent news, WOMAC’s pledge will help Jo’s Trust to provide information and support to women diagnosed with cervical cancer, support its 24-hour helpline and increase awareness of how crucial prevention and early detection is, leading to better outcomes for patients.
WOMAC, a charity made up of female volunteers from the automotive industry, was established in 1979. Its aim is to continue the fight against cancer by supporting a variety of projects, searching for more effective treatments or improving the quality of life for cancer sufferers, their families and carers.
Although the annual party is WOMAC’s biggest fundraising event, activities take place throughout the year to raise money for good causes. To get involved, please visit www.womac.co.uk, like us on
