Police have issued an appeal for witnesses after aWalsallman has been found dead.

The body of Jagjit Singh Villkhu, from Willenhall, was found in a Willenhall park in the early hours of 24th January.

A forensic post mortem, which took place the following day, revealed that the 33-year-old died as a result of head injuries.

Police are continuing to search the scene, an area of park land betweenVilliers StreetandSt Anne’s Road, as two people, aged 28 and 25, continue to be questioned on suspicion of murder.

A 33-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman, who were arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, were released without charge on 25th January.

Officers attended the location after receiving an emergency call shortly before 12:30am.

St Anne’s Roadcurrently remains closed between the junctions ofTemple RoadandStringes Laneas the murder enquiry continues.

Senior investigating officer Detective Chief Inspector Andy Bullman, from Force CID in Bloxwich, issued a fresh appeal for witnesses.

He said: “We would be very keen to hear from anyone who may have seen what happened or witnessed anything suspicious shortly before or after the incident took place.

“As part of this inquiry we are looking into a separate incident which is believed to have occurred a short time before Mr Singh died, in theCemetery Roadarea of Willenhall.

“We believe an altercation took place earlier in the evening at this location and would urge anyone who may have seen this incident to get in touch with us.”
