A blaze of smoke was sent billowing over parts of Birmingham city centre after a fire broke out in a large skip.
The fire started on Rea Street in Digbeth around 4 pm on Monday 30th November and fire-fighters were called.
The West Midlands fire service confirmed that a brigade response vehicle had been sent to the scene before any further crews attended during the course of the evening.
Fire-fighters worked together to bring the blaze under control. Rea Street South and Bissel Street where closed due to health and safety.
The smoke rising from the scene for the fire could be seen from across the city centre, and fire-fighters from lady pool, Smethwick and Highgate were still in attendance at around 8 pm attempting to clear the site
