Senior Minister Dr. Sarath Amunugama said that the government’s management of the economy is at a high level.
He told the country’s Parliament thatSri Lankawas able to become one of the developing countries across the globe despite the global economic crisis.
Amunugama said that due to this climate, the resources are being carefully managed to meet with the changing political and economic situations and that the exports sector has not faced a crisis problem.
The apparel exports have increased by 32 per cent and the tourist industry has developed vastly.Qatarhas also offered to invest inSri Lankaand have also expressed their interest in setting up three tourist hotels in the Kalpitiya area.
