Authorities are investigating what appears to be human waste found in various Coca Cola cans.
Staff at a Coca Cola factory in Northern Ireland first discovered the problem once their machines clogged up and stopped working.
However, Coca Cola have stated that all affected cans have been removed from manufacturing and have not had any influence on the cans that are currently on sale in stores.
One report suggested that all products that come to the factory are shipped without tops and are then packed with Coca Cola before sealing and packaging, and then they are shipped to various markets across Northern Ireland.
The Northern Ireland police service issued a statement following numerous reports; ‘detectives are investigating an incident at commercial premises in the Lisburn area following reports that several products delivered to the factory were contaminated. And we are taking this situation very, very seriously.’
Although many reports have been issued across Northern Ireland, experts believe there is no reason to believe that these contaminated products are currently being sold on the market and many saying that this factory in Lisburn, Northern Ireland is the ‘most professional they’ve ever seen’.
Police are currently looking into all reports of potentially contaminated Coca Cola products.
