Keep your bio interesting and current. Tweet at peak times, as you’re likely to get noticed. Don’t repeat old news – that’s just boring. Follow and tweet interesting people. Avoid using too many # and @ signs, people will get put off. Post links about interesting websites. Post pictures, after all, a picture says a thousand words. Do not spam, i.e. don’t post tweet after tweet of boring and vague tweets. You are more likely to get unfollowed, as you’ll just be clocking up everyone’s timeline. Finally, be interesting. You’ll gain plenty of followers if you come across as a genuine individual.
