Police in Birmingham have released pictures of two men they would like to speak to after a woman was sexually assaulted in a taxi.
The woman had left the Old Hare and Hounds public house on Lickey Road in Rednal and was travelling home with a group of people in the early hours of Sunday 29 June when the attack happened.
Officers have conducted extensive enquiries with witnesses who were at the pub that evening and are now turning to the public in a bid to identify the two men captured on CCTV.
DC Karl Mumby, from the force’s Public Protection Unit, said: “This lady was preyed upon by someone who took the opportunity to sexually assault her when she was incapable of defending herself.
“We have trawled CCTV images from that evening and we are now asking for the public’s help to identify the two men in the images. I would encourage anyone with information to contact me on 101.”
Anyone not wishing to speak to a police officer can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
