A view of the ACCESS Clinic
Aster DM Healthcare, the leading healthcare conglomerate in the Middle East and India, launched its fifth ACCESS Clinic in Jebel Ali Free Zone (JAFZA) South, on its twenty-sixth anniversary recently. The facility will provide affordable and quality primary healthcare services including General Medicine, Radiology and Clinical Laboratory services.
Mr. Jamal Majid Bin Thaniah, Vice-Chairman of DP World, inaugurated the clinic at the community centre located near the staff accommodations in JAFZA South.
Mr Bin Thaniah said, “The opening of ACCESS Medical Centre will benefit the people living and working within the JAFZA boundaries. The facility will provide access to quality and affordable healthcare to the people in the JAFZA community. The recently announced mandatory health insurance regulations Dubai will have great impact in ensuring health care to all people. The new facility will have big role in serving the community, especially when the UAE is preparing to host Expo 2020 in the close vicinity of JAFZA.”

ACCESS Clinics are currently operational at Ramla Mall in Dubai Investment Park (DIP), residential camp in Muhaisina 2 (Sonapur), Deira Gold Souk and Deira Naïf Police Station areas. Five more ACCESS Clinics are under development at various phases in different locations – including Bur Dubai (near Al Ghubaiba Bus Station), Morocco Cluster at International City, residential camp area in Al Quoz, Muwailah industrial area in Sharjah and in Ajman. The expansion strategy will see accomplishment of 10 ACCESS clinics by the end of this year.
Dr. Moopen added, “Employees and corporate groups will benefit from the quality healthcare provided at ACCESS Clinic, especially in light of the recently announced mandatory health insurance policy in Dubai.
We are expanding the network of ACCESS budget clinics, setting up more facilities in different locations. As per the strategy, 15 more ACCESS units will be rolled out soon across the region making a large network of budget clinics.”
The ACCESS Clinic will be functional between 8 am and 11 pm, seven days a week. The Clinic is also empanelled with all major insurance companies. The unit will have observation beds for providing immediate care, in addition to the lab and radiology units.
ACCESS Clinics provide consultation at nominal fees. Corporate groups will have the benefits to avail Corporate HMO scheme with added benefits through the Corporate Relations Department. ACCESS will extend corporate healthcare services, tailor-made to the requirements of individual corporates with larger employee-base spread across the region. The large number of industries shall be benefitted getting quality and affordable healthcare within the boundaries and easy access to industrial trauma and other injuries, corporate medical checkups.
