Imitation is flattery and it is certainly the case here, as Bollywood will re-create the Hollywood Walk of Fame, using their own heroes and heroines, living and dead.
Like its Western counterpart, hand prints will be included on the brass places and will be laid on tiles.
The Bollywood Walk of Fame will be located along the Bandstand promenade at Bandra, which runs alongside the sea.
“We have already identified about 60 names of Bollywood superstars who will be featured alongside the Walk of Fame” Nikhil Gandhi, business head of UTV Stars.
“It will include both the present superstars as well as those of yesteryears”
Bandra, also known as the ‘Queen of the Suburbs’ has been and currently is home to many Bollywood stars, including Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, and Shabana Azmi.
The Beverly Hills of Mumbai, Pali Hill, is only a few minutes away from Bandra and boasts of bungalows and apartments owned by Dev Anand, Dilip Kumar, Amir Khan, Sanjay Dutt and the Kapoor family (Rishi, Neetu and their brood).
