22 year old San2 has become the UK’s most talked about artist after winning the ‘Best Newcomer’ category at this year’s Britasia TV Music Awards on Saturday night.
Bhangra legend Balwinder Safri presented San2 with his award and the event was hosted by funny-man Kulvinder Ghir of ‘Goodness Gracious Me’.
San2 graciously accepted the coveted trophy and thanked his team, management, family and fans. The humble 22 year old said afterwards: “I’m actually shocked! I know that people like my music and I do get messages of support from fans and industry people but I really didn’t think I would win. I’m glad that it has made my family and team proud though, that’s really important for me”.
The Nottingham based artist created a storm when he released his debut single ‘Nayo Lagda’ earlier this year and literally became a household name overnight.
San2 is currently in the studio finishing his next track set for release mid-November. The accompanying video goes into production next week.
