Indian cinema megastar Akshay Kumar has had a phenomenal year. Riding high on the success of his recent blockbusters “Gabbar is Back” and “Baby”, for many it was no surprise that the enigmatic Akshay was featured in this year’s Forbes’ Celebrity 100 List.
The superstar was one of only four Indian film personalities on the list and also beat Hollywood heavyweights, such as Leonardo DiCaprio and Johnny Depp, coming 76th overall, with earnings of $32.5 million between 2014-2015.
Akshay’s inclusion in the prestigious Forbes Celebrity 100 List follows his entry in Forbes India’s list of top earning celebrities in 2014.
Akshay will next be seen in the gritty family drama Brothers out 14th August. The film is the story of a broken family, set in the world of mixed martial arts and underground street fighting. Akshay Kumar plays the role of Sidharth Malhotra’s elder brother; both siblings are martial arts fighters locked in a fierce rivalry for victory in the ring.
