Next year will be the year when Bollywood sirens, like many of us during the wedding season, will be pulling bejewelled saris out of the bag, with the hunks carefully choosing their lapels and cuffs.
A variety of star couples are planning to tie the knot in 2012, including Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor.
The pair’s wedding plans have been the subject of many rumours since September.
Ritu Kumar, one of the late Princess Diana’s favourite designers, is said to be sketching away in her pad to create the perfect dress for Kareena, while Saif had been pouring through an array of expensive rings before picking the best rock.
But the stunning couple are not the only ones destined to walk down the aisle. Vidya Balan and Siddharth Roy Kapoor are also looking to set an auspicious date next year.
There were rumours in August that the pair secretly wed and their supposed honeymoon was also talked about.
However, Siddharth rubbished the news, quipping “No that’s not true.” Hopefully wedding coverage next year will be true!
Another couple looking to get hitched are Force star Genelia D’souza and Ritesh Deshmukh, who met on the sets of Tujhe Meri Kasam back in 2003.
In an interview Ritesh recently said: “Yes, Genelia and I are getting married next year. We have not fixed the date yet, but it will be early 2012. We are working on the details.”
It certainly looks like 2012 will be the year of wedding drums!
