UStalk show host Oprah Winfrey was surrounded by Bollywood’s most sought after glitterati during her first visit toIndia.
Stars such as Shah Rukh Khan, Preity Zinta and the Buchchans greeted the 57-year-old at a private party hosted in her honour.
Dressed in a stunning orange sari, Oprah visitedIndia’s capital to promote ‘Next Chapter’, a new series of her famous talk show.
The sparkling event was organised by socialite Parmeshwar Godrej, which saw the attendance of a wide screen sirens and heroes.
Attendees included filmmakers Ashutosh Gowariker and Rajkumar Hirani, as well as actors Anupam Kher, his son Sikander Kher, Abhishek Bachchan, Hrithik Roshan, Preity Zinta, Priyanka Chopra, Shilpa Shetty with hubby Raj Kundra, Abhay Deol with actress-girlfriend Preeti Desai, Lara Dutta, Dino Morea, Sameera Reddy, Kalki Koechlin, Kangna Ranaut, Anil Kapoor and Imran Khan.
Oprah took to her Twitter account to express her joy in meeting the best that Asian cinema has to offer.
She wrote, “Was so great meeting you and all the beautiful Bollywooders. Directors, poets, screenwriters, what a nite!”
Before the party, the veteran visited Amitabh Buchchan and his wife Jaya at their home, where Abhishek and Aishwarya also reside, along with their newborn baby.
Also an avid Twitter user, Amitabh wrote, “The gracious Oprah Winfrey visits our home, to meet us and bless the baby…warm hearted, endearing…drive her to the party in her honour. And Oprah in sari..looking lovely!!.”
The famous family invited Oprah to their house, where she stayed for an hour, before being driven away with them to the Godrej party.
The Next chapter will see Oprah travelling around the globe and interviewing celebrities.
