A Birmingham man has been remanded in custody after appearing in court, accused of firearms offences.

Antoine Peak was arrested when armed police raided a property in Smethwick on Friday (5 Sept), looking for the unemployed 24-year-old who was sought for questioning over the alleged supply of firearms.

He was taken into police custody for questioning and Peak, of Bottetourt Road, Selly Oak, was later charged with selling or transferring a small firearm and selling or transferring ammunition.

Peak appeared before Birmingham Magistrates Court on 6 September where he was remanded in custody ahead of a committal hearing at Crown Court on a date yet to be fixed.
