Detectives are appealing for help to trace a beanie-hat wearing attacker who sexually assaulted a woman as she walked through Ward End Park.
The 51-year-old was grabbed by an unknown man as she was walking towards the Sladefield Road entrance on the morning of 8 June.
As the woman reached a corner in the path the man walked up to her and grabbed her around the neck, throwing her to the floor.
The man, who is believed to be in his 20s, then held her down and threatened her before assaulting the woman as she lay on the floor. The offender then got up and ran towards the Sladefield Road exit.
He is described as a white man, around 5ft 3ins tall, of medium build, with light eyes, stubble and he was wearing a grey waterproof jacket, denim jeans, white trainers and a grey or silver coloured beanie hat, under which he appeared to have blonde hair.
DC Verity Eades, from the Public Protection Unit at Aston police station, said: “This was a very concerning attack on a lone woman as she went for a morning walk in her local park.
“The lady does not speak English well and was very frightened by her ordeal. She just about managed to make a group of passing young men understand that she had been the victim of an assault and they then contacted police.
“We now need to speak to anyone else who is yet to come forward or who recognises the description of the attacker.
“Thankfully the woman was not badly hurt but we want to trace this man and urge anyone who can help to contact us and offer any information they can.”
The public protection unit can be contacted at West Midlands Police by dialling 101 or speak to Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
